Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Integrative Behavioural Couples Counsellor and Individual Counsellor.

 

I have nearly ten years of experience working with all ages providing support to those with emotional difficulties and mental health difficulties within the NHS.

I am fully accredited with the BABCP (The British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies) a member of BACP (British Association Counselling & Psychotherapies) and Couples Counselling Register. I have an accredited masters level Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

As a member of the BACP and BABCP I work within and adhere to both their standards of conduct, performance and ethics and have regular clinical supervision. Additionally, I have a certificate in supervision for psychological therapists and provide supervision to others clinically.

My goal is to provide you with an opportunity to explore your difficulties, your fears, anxieties, hopes or aspirations in a confidential and non-judgemental space.

I have worked with a wide variety of issues including; depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, stress, PTSD, trauma and birth anxiety. I offer short and long-term therapy to young people and adults.

Within individual sessions we will look at understanding how your problems have developed and what is maintaining them. We will set some short and long term goals for therapy, there will be out of sessions tasks to help you implement changes into your life. Within CBT we can look at how negative thought patterns may be affecting your mood and assist you to learn new adaptive ways to make positive changes in your thoughts and behaviours.
